In our ongoing investigation of deceptive and outright fraudulent extreme metal acts, we pull the rug under a handful of established outfits that don’t even seem to bother hiding that they are after your money first, artistic integrity a distant second - an audience satisfaction not even registering. The more we pull away the blinds the more obvious these practices become. Maybe your favorite band is in here, maybe your life-long inspiration only cares about the dollars/euros you’re giving him/her? Don’t be fooled, there are plenty of honest, hard-working metal bands everywhere in the scene. It’s just that these money-hungry, artistically vacuum units make it difficult for everybody involved. These bands stopped caring, they lost the passion and fire. In short: they Sold Their Souls...
When grown men (and women) paint their faces, sport inverted crosses and spent more time acquiring the right wardrobe than they do writing and rehearsing, I can’t help but crack a smile at the ridiculousness of the endeavour. Arsonist Lodge, who undoubtly admire the Norwegian churchburners of the ‘90s, are however a solid act within this genre. As you can probably guess this is another one-man...
What a pleasant surprise. I’m not familiar with this band’s debut record from a couple of years ago, but if this record is any indication it is at least a curiosity worth seeking out. Italy has always had a knack for the theatrical, and this band is no different in that regard. Atmosphere, so often lacking in modern extreme metal albums, is something that oozes from every pore of this record. ...
I had some material done already before the demise of Lord Belial. Some of the material was actually intended for the next Lord Belial album, but since we disbanded I changed around all of the ideas into new songs.
Cannibal Corpse and three other supporting bands shook Lithuanian capital Vilnius with their brutal sounds on August 17, 2010 in New York club. Many of Lithuanian metal heads were waiting this concert to see and to hear one of the most cruel death metal bands from USA Cannibal Corpse. Blood-and-thunder covers of albums, texts of songs, which are against the God and don't match the standards, attract a lot of negative appreciation already 22 years. There are many countries (UK, Australia and Germany) where death metal veterans' albums are forbidden or censored. But we had a chance to see them without any restrictions and I can say that it was really "meat-grinder".

The evening of the concert day came and many metal heads from all Lithuania were standing in New York's club and waiting for bloody concert. First on the stage appeared death metal band Paralytic from Lithuania. Four guys, who started play just in 2009, performed their part of the concert with full of energy and shown what they have many perspective in the future. I think it was amazing for this young group to be on the same stage with such death metal veterans as Cannibal Corpse. Brutal Finnish death metal band Torture Killer was second. I can say that I liked them a lot and it's great that they began composing their own songs, not only covers of Six Feet Under. The show was great and of course very technically. The last supporting band was Soulfallen also from Finland. We had a chance to listen to some melodic sounds only when these guys were playing. It was something different from others and of course it received variant assessments. After all bands finished their show many people came near the stage and was looking for place to stand because everybody knew that it would be hard when Cannibal Corpse come. Real hell simmered in the club when the concert started and death metal veterans started playing. Many wet bodies filled around the stage, head bangers started shaking their hair; people raised hands and start shouting "Cannibal Corpse". It was very exciting to watch and to listen to these death metal veterans. George Fisher vocal was full of brutality, his fast growl and energy attracted all people which were in New York club at that time. I think many metalheads were glad that they had a chance to see Cannibal Corpse and to shake their head by live death veterans‘ music.

I can say that it was great death metal concert in Lithuania this year and we have to thank ALT events for their prepared shows. Looking forward for something really extreme next time!
