Nowa płyta morduje niemożebnie. Oczywiście tylko wersja z Hellio)))sophist. Ładnie przenieśli estetykę starego industrialu na drone doomowe pole. Cudo.

aha, pozwolę sobie na mały offtop: czy ktoś zna jakiś wytwór drone-doomowy, w którym jako instrument wykorzystano fale Martenota ? bo szukałem, pytałem, nie za bardzo idzie cosik takiego znaleźć.. aż dziwnie, bo przecież fale Martenota pasowałyby do tej stylistyki jak ulał...

Jak kupujesz dla Attili, to lepiej załatw sobie taki bootleg Tormentor "The Sick Years". Są tam też nagrania projektu Abstract i Deamons Fog, w konwencji złowieszczych szeptów, stukotów, psychodelii, bluesa... Mało znana rzecz, a moim zdaniem właśnie tam Attila w pełni ukazuje swój geniusz.

Though Sunn O))) is currently the leading force in drone, and by far the most popular, they're definitely not the best by any means. In fact, about half their material is outright boring (and that's by drone standards). Sadly enough, though hardly surprisingly, the real gems are rooted deep in the underground, with the Polish genius Maciej Koper and Spanish entity Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere not only capable of slaughtering the bearded Southern Lords with a single lash of a bass string, but then proceed to systematically destroy their anal cavities with the very same string (no not that way, by playing the heaviest, deepest vibrations known to man). In fact, the latter actually predates Sunn O))), not only being far better, but far more original with not a hint of influence from them.

Why do I mention this? Because after the New York Times article featuring them, they border on trend status due to their popularity among the intellectual crowd, being among the most overrated band at the moment. Their good by all means, but if you take the word of the normal doom & drone fans, who happen to know quality in the genre better than anyone else, they're really not all that special. (..)

So while you can find much better elsewhere (and you should - listen to Like Drone Razors Through Flesh Sphere and be driven to madness and suicide), this isn't a bad choice. If you can ignore the outright pointlessness of bassAliens, you have two of the best drone songs by the band, and indeed in the genre. But I daresay they're the only worthy contributions from these two.

widziałem O'Malley'a z tym jesgo KTL i jak dla mnie to padaka, aż miło, jakieś piski, sprzęrzenia, kij wie o co w tym chodzi, widać noise to nie dla mnie zabawa

Sunn to już inna historia, kapela jest niepowtarzalna i bardzo chciałbym na żywca zobaczyć
