Sam Raimi’s Next Project is ‘Army of Darkness 2′ Not ‘Evil Dead 4′
http://screenrant.com/army-of-darkness- ... sam-raimi/Recently, word got out that Raimi and his brother (ostensibly Ivan) were planning to start work on a script for Evil Dead 4 this summer – news that became a little more real courtesy of Robert Tapert, the man who produced not only the original Evil Dead films but many other entries in Raimi’s filmography.
Speaking with Shock Til You Drop this weekend at South By Southwest, Tapert, Raimi’s long-time collaborator cleared up any concerns about the existence of two Evil Dead franchises competing with one another and amended Raimi’s original remark with a statement of his own. It turns out that the Raimi brothers’ intention wasn’t to write a treatment for Evil Dead 4, but rather a direct sequel to the medieval fantasy-influenced Army of Darkness- which for some fans represents the pinnacle of the Evil Dead series.
Here’s the direct quote from Tabert:
“That would be Army of Darkness 2 [...] Everybody calls it Evil Dead 4 but Army of Darkness wasn’t called Evil Dead anywhere except by the fans.”
For Evil Dead enthusiasts, the distinction matters. While all three of Raimi’s Deadite-strewn splatterfests tie together on common themes and a continuous narrative, each entry has its own style and character that separates the three films from one another. The Evil Dead strives to unsettle its audience with unfeeling brutality and copious amounts of gore; Evil Dead 2 straddles the line between gore and comedy, and to this day remains one of the best examples of the “splatstick” genre; and Army of Darkness goes all the way over that boundary, playing far more to Raimi’s comedic proclivities than his habits as a horror filmmaker.

I don't want Ash to be directed by anyone other than Sam Raimi. He has ownership of that character, so it encouraged us." But he does say that he's looking forward to picking up the chainsaw again, with Ash twenty years older, but not necessarily wiser. "He'd still be an idiot and a loser and a blagger," laughs Campbell. "I look forward to him coming back and screwing things up all over again!"

Plus Nolan kreci nowy film:
http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/ ... r-20130110Last night came word that, awards season or not, Nolan was already putting together a new project, the sci-fi pic "Interstellar." The big talking point around the movie was that it was something Steven Spielberg was once kicking around, with a script by Jonah Nolan and a story developed by theoretical physicist Kip Thorne. But now, there's even more reason to be excited, as the director will be putting his own distinct stamp on the material.
According to Deadline, Nolan is taking the script that his brother wrote, and combining it with his own original idea, and writing a new script (the movie will retain the title). Thorne is still on board as a technical consultant. As for the exact story, yesterday it was said that it will follow a group of explorers who go through a wormhole, in a story about time travel and alternate dimensions. While today, things are a bit more vague, as stating it will "depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the farthest borders of our scientific understanding."
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... lar-410616Steven Spielberg previously was attached to direct Interstellar and produce with Lynda Obst. It is unclear whether Spielberg will remain involved, especially considering the director's planned next movie, Robopocalypse, was delayed indefinitely on Wednesday.
Miejmy nadzieje, ze Spielberg znajdzie sobie cos innego do roboty.
