Ostatnia trylogia Rome:

- nie jest za długa. To są raptem trzy albumy, które można puścić jeden po drugim, różnorodne, interesujące, dla fana jak znalazł.
- nie jest nudna. Zadbano o różnorodność materiału, jest wszystko co dobre z przeszłości + są jeszcze bardziej chwytliwe i popowe momenty
- jest niesamowicie klimatyczna. Co przekłada się na fakt, że idealnie wchodzi mi na płaszczyźnie sentymentalnej. Całość po prostu kipi od emocji. Nie ma nic na odwal się.
- nie jest kopią Death In June. Ten zespół zwykle wskazywało się przy porównaniach z Rome. Na dzień dzisiejszy wyłapałem tam chyba 2-3 oczywiste DIJowe fragmenty.

Nie mam jeszcze CD, ale w końcu trzeba będzie zmajstrować. Dla mnie na poziomie między Masse Mensch Material a Flowers From Exile. Pięknie spędzone godziny.

'Fester' is a ritual fight with one's own personal demons, a journey not devoid of self-derision. These twilight songs are like a glimpse into a world of otherness. Rome was founded on forward motion ("Bewegung entsteht durch Haltung") and like a true moloch it expels its dead. With 8 critically acclaimed and remarkable (concept) albums in as many years, Rome have built a considerable following in the world's darker musical scenes. Yet, the myth of this Rome is cast in the future tense. This Rome remains vibrant and far removed from the shorthand of conventional imagery, from the distortion of nostalgia the inarticulate contempt for the present and fear of the future.
On 'Fester' this contempt is quite articulate and one can taste the fear that lies at the root of it all. This record brings Rome back to the city, back to the gutter and into the actual world of its author, Jerome Reuter: a world where the sacred and profound, history and eternity, man and god remain completely separated. Musically 'Fester' offers a mixture of what might be termed Murder Folk and Junky Ballads, far removed from the martial drum beats and retrosampling yet more anger-fueled than ever before.

'Hell Money' is different. You've come to love Rome's concept collages, shedding new light on the realities of the world and its history, whilst giving a voice to the downtrodden.

'Hell Money' is yet again different. 'Hell Money' is an emotional tour-de-force through the twisted inner workings of a tormented individual. A journey into a heart of sadness, where greed, addiction and self-immolation have taken their toll on sanity. The songs remain fragmentary and crude. The voice on this album is not the voice of reason, it is an individual unashamed, yet deeply tormented by the demons that have come to haunt it. The music is built primarily by an anger-driven acoustic guitar and a voice bereft of poetic hipness. No martial drums, no retro-sampling, but drums and sampling nonetheless. Odnoszę wrażenie, że Reuter nie potrafi przeżyć jednego roku bez przynajmniej jednego (a najlepiej kilku) wydawnictw ROME. Zbadam nowy album, ale szczerze mówiąc, to ten projekt sporo w moich oczach stracił. Ilość zamiast jakości, a na domiar złego bardzo szybko mi się ich muzyka dezaktualizuje - cały ten patos, zadęcie, syntetycznośc starych płyt i rozmiędlenie nowych, ble. Kwiotki się bronią, z uwagi na naturalne instrumentarium, ale reszta już tak bez szału.

ja Flowers słuchałem swego czasu po kilka razy na dzień... potem jeszcze nastepnej epki... potem nastepnej plyty sluchalem moze raz i kontakt z ich muzyką mi się urwał. Nie mam czasu ani chęci nadrabiać tego wszystkiego w tym momencie.

W moim przypadku było dokładnie tak samo. Wciąz uwielbiam Kwiaty i wspomnianą epkę, reszta niespecjalnie.

Ledwo przecież wyszło to trzypłytowe wydawnictwo, którego jeszcze nie zdążyłem posłuchać, a tu następne mini. Matko boska, chyba na emeryturze będę sprawdzał te jego wszystkie płyty.

Przesłuchałem własnie to nowe MCD i jest to jakieś takie strasznie bezpłciowe. Akustyczna formuła, ascetyzm i tak dallej, no spoko, brzmi to ok, ale bardzo szybko się rozmywa i rozlewa w jakąs taką niewyraźną papkę.
