But honestly, if I were the creator of such great album as "Supreme Evil", I wouldn't use those words too, just like Brian (guit.) who was interviewed! How many copies of "City Of The Dead" & "Supreme Evil" was sold so far? Do you think you had already conquered the whole death metal universe? (ha, ha)"We distributed over 2000 "City Of The Dead" demo tapes to over 32 countries. The MCD sold very good, as well as the debut "Supreme Evil". We still have to push on over the top, and we're determinated to exceed any boundaries."
Diabolic is represented by Conquest Music (USA) and The Plaque (Europe). Are you satisfied of the work those labels do for Diabolic?"The Plaque has done a great job in Europe. No comment or anything else."
Diabolic plays: "satanic death metal at blasphemous speeds". I was wandering what the word "satanic" means for you?"To us, "satanic" represents strenght. Our dark philosophy demands only elite performance and determination!!! All who stand in our path will be crushed! Our lyrics are dark, powerful and intelligent! Our music is dynamic, violent, and defies all boundaries!!!"
Do you agree with the opinion that Satan can't exist without God? Satan is God & God is Satan. Does it sound logical for you?"In the christian sense of the word, I guess that's logical. Though I can't seem to find any logic in the christian doctrines! There is no old man who cares about you, and there's no red guy with a pitchfork going to roast you. There is only reality. Each of us is the center of our own universe."
I saw the Diabolic's photo where all of you are wearing sunglasses. Don't you like the sun? Are you vampires or what? (ha, ha)"Well, it's pretty sunny in Florida! We were just outside, you can't live down here without your shades!"
Would you like to be immortal? In my opinion it's quite possible that Diabolic may be one of the best death metal bands which have ever existed on the Earth."Thanx again! Immortality is possible through our music. We put our souls into our evil compositions, and they will live on forever. We are determined to be an elite force in metal!"
Who is your death metal master? Please, name the most important band for you, which inspired you to play death metal."I would have to say Morbid Angel. they are obviously a major influence on extreme music. Also, we're influenced by Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, Slayer, old Metallica, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Slaughterlord, Darkthrone..."
Many of my friends (musicians too) say that Diabolic has got one of the fastest drummers in the whole world. I think they are jealous..."Aantar is an incredible drummer. He pushes himself hard and is advancing his skills even further! His scorching speed is his trademark, but his well rounded beats and tasty fills should not be overlooked! I've been writing with the guy for 4 years, and he still amazes me!"
What was the worst opinion about "Supreme Evil"? I doubt there were any, but... If you could what would you like to change in this album?"The recording budget was extremely low. We recorded that album live, and overdubbed vocals and leads. It took us only 3 days to record and mix, which is unheard of. Luckily we know how to run a studio and own only the best equipment, so the production captured the Diabolic sound. It is a clear, heavy mix, and we're proud of it!"

I must say you aren't too modest, are you?"Aantar has always wanted to do a video documentary of all the best death metal drummers and call it "Blastmasters", so the name stuck, as he is a blastmaster. We are a confident band, we are hard working and strive for excellence, pushing ourselves to be the best we can be. We are very down to earth, and very real, as metal should be!"
"I'm owner of the "Supreme Evil" digi pack format, which looks really great! Are you one of those devils burning in hellish fire at the cover of "Supreme Evil"?"Ha, those are our hordes of friends/fans in the underground! We're in there also, as we always remain true to the underground and burn with the insense fires of ambition!"
Hell is said to be a very hot place, just like Florida, where you are from, isn't it? Do you like living there?"Hell yes! Tropical weather and the hottest women! There's a party atmosphere year round down here. We're all from up north, so it's nice to escape winter. Except when we're on tour of course."
It must be unforgetable feeling to see your concert live. How many people did you smash by your live shows? Which bands had you played with?"We've done many tours, and devastated many venues in America with our punishing live performance! Our stage show reflects our music:dark, agressive, and unrelenting! We were a party of the "Death Metal Massacre Tour" with Cannibal Corpse, God Dethroned, and Hate Eternal. That went for 5 1/2 weeks and sold out most of the venues! It was amazing, and killer to see the underground come out and support in such hordes! Diabolic and Infamy toured the west coast in'97, and we headlined an east coast tour in'98. Diabolic was also honored to tour with the godz, Morbid Angel in'99. We've also played with Angel Corpse, Krisiun, Malevolent Creation, Acheron, Alas, Exodus, Hades, Nile, Incantation, Six Feet Under... As well as hitting festivals such as Milwaukee Metalfest'98, The New York Demonfest, Texas November to Dismember'99, and Deathtoberfest in New York!"
People are expecting lots of great music from your second album. Does this thought annoy you? or maybe you aren't affraid of anything, are you?"We've finished recording the 2nd album, and it promises to advance the Diabolic sound to new extremes! It's called "Subterranial Magnitude", and defies all former definitions of extreme!!!"
Tell me please more details about "Subterranial Magnitude" (five times "w": when? where? with who? why? )"We recorded it in June'00, and it's highly anticipated: we get tons of mail asking for it. All we can say is be patient, it is worth the wait!!!"
How important is fantasy in your life? What is your biggest wish?"I like to read fantasy stories to relax, and it's good for lyrical material sometime. My biggest wish is a self-fulfilling prophecy to continue to succeed with our death metal assault, and take this music to dizzying new heights!!!"
