You all Masterful readers should remember metal monster named Wermen. Yeah, he comes from Sweden and playes in Murder corporation. There is older interview with him about this band, that speech starts with words "kill, kill, kill...". And this time I might start this new one with the same words, but some of you could find in it commerce and all this shit. Anyway this time Wermen will tell you about DERANGED !!! Few months ago they were in Japan doing some harakiri... and killing. Please read what more Wermen can tell us about this small kill-tour. Hello Wermén. You just returned from small tour in Japan. Please let our readers know what was it like?? Any beautiful Geisha's fucked?? "The tour was cool and all right. The first time we play outside of Europe, so it was cool to "break some new grounds" you know. Ha, ha, ha. We did 5 shows over there and most of them turned out cool as hell. Everything's different a lot from what we´re used to in Sweden / Europe which was also pretty interesting. Anyway, all in all it was cool and I hope we´ll be able to play over in Japan lots more!!!"
I've heard that you recorded in Japan few live tracks for live album. Am I right?? "We had planned to do so, but due to the economic situation that never happened. Our intention was to record the shows and then mix it back home in Sweden. If the sound turned out all right we would release it. There are lots of live records out there which sounds like crap and if we would release a live disc it have to sound killer, you know. Anyway, our intention was never to release a full live CD anyway. Might have like 4-5 live tracks and 4-5 new studio tracks. The interested for a full Deranged live CD is probably pretty small anyway."
I don't think you're right. I was awaiting this live songs, even just to check out how's Deranged doing the live massacre... Anyway, don't you think that is quite strange that lots of European bands are recording live albums in Japan?? Just think about Vader or Children of bodom... "It´s cool to keep the "metal clichés" alive. Ha, ha, ha."
And how will you compare that Japan tour with your other tours, in France or in Poland? "The actual differences when it comes to the booking of the whole thing etc. etc. was pretty much the same you know except from the fact the we traveled with train and slept in hotels in Japan which would never happen in Europe. Ha, ha, ha. Also, it seemed like the crowd was really thankful for having us playing over there, which is maybe not always the case in Europe. Ha, ha, ha."
Ok, Now I would like to ask you about Deranged rare tracks. There are some bonus tracks on reeditions of your albums. Could you tell me something about it?? Is there any possibility to buy in Europe those rare vinyl or Japanese versions? "The jap.´s edition of "I I I" had 4 bonus tracks. One of them is also featured on the vinyl release while the other 3 will be on the split 10" with Abscess. The vinyl release of "I I I" also come with a free 7" bonus single and the tracks on that one are just alternative versions of a bunch of songs that are also on other releases plus a Misfits cover. We was asked to gather a few unreleased tracks for the vinyl release of "I I I" but as we uses everything we records, more or less we went for those alternative versions instead."
In January last year there were some words about your split with Abscess. Is it finally out? If not, why??""No, it´s not out. Don´t know why it´s not released yet neither when it´ll be out. Pretty soon I guess."
OK. Lets finally talk about your new album. I've heard that it will be called "Deranged"... Hmmm is there something similar to the Metallica?? You know, that title, playing softer music... and all this shit... "Not at all."
Yes, good answer !! When we will be able to listen to this cpiece of ultimate brutality?? "It´s said to be released in March so. We´re mixing it as we speak in fact."
You've changed the record label few times. Now you're on Listenable... And how could you compare them to other your labels? "Listenable are compared to the other label we´ve been on actually a really good label!!!"
Wermén, please tell me which recordings of Deranged you like most? And which ones you hate most? "I like the new CD the most, the one which isn´t released yet. It has the best and most intense songs we´ve ever done and the production will also be killer. I´m also still kinda satisfied with "I I I". The recording that I really is the "Architects..." MCD. That one fucking sucks man. Ha, ha, ha. The new CD will be, as mentioned released in March and it´ll be 11 tracks all in all on it. Some titles which I can remember right now are; Screen passion, Malebolgia, Endophagy, Humanity; gods failure, Flesh rebel, Dead hand strangulation and Cum on command. Really looking forward to have that one out."
Some of readers might know that you have second band called Murder Corporation. Could you tell us something more about this band?? "Murder Corp. have been around since ´95 and released a bunch of CD´s. We´ll soon have a brand new full length out. Check that one out!!!"
Is Murder corporation similar to Deranged for you? "It´s death metal just like Deranged you know but the differences are still pretty big."
You're the last one in the band with long hairs. When you'll cut them and why hahahaha...? "Good question. Ehm. Next question."
But bad answer... ha,ah,ha... Is there any possibility for polish fans to see you live on stage after releasing your new album?? "Might possible. Nothing is 100% or anything but I hope we´ll be able to do some shows down in Poland you know."
