Wywiad przeprowadził Andrzej PapieżI remember that it was great death metal scene in England some time ago. With Napalm death, Bolt thrower or Carcass and others. There is one more band from that island worth checking out. It's 7th Child. Please read the interview with their bass player Steve. Unfortunatelly he is nomore in the band, but I think that the interview is still interesting. Read, buy, listen and be killed by their brutal stuff !!! Hail Steve !! Here's Andy from Masterful magazine. Let the slaughter begin !! Ha, ha. Just kidding... Would you like to work in the slaughtherhouse ?"Hail brothers in Poland!!! Fucking lets start the fucking massacre!!! We play in a slaughterhouse, so why work in one!! Everytime we play the wimps are killed!!"

Your "Bled to death" MCD is 100% knock-outer. Do you take lessons from Mike Tyson ?
"We taught him how to be brutal!!!!"

Yeah, right... How long and where did you record this stuff ? The results are amazing, so there was great atmosphere in the studio I guess ?
""Bled..." was recorded in 3 days at Phillia studios in Henley-On- Thames in England, which is a very rich area so us invading the town fucked a few people of! The studio is excellent and Dave Chang is a really good engineer, and he got the results we wanted, crystal clear and brutal production. The atmosphere was great and vast amounts of alcohol and grass was consumed at the night time on the campsite!!"

"Bled to death" is a very technical stuff. I cannot belive thet it is your third material. You're good musicians, did you play in any bands before joining 7th Child ?
"I played in UK band `Beyond Fear` before this, and we had all been playing a long time. I Myself have now been playing for 10 years so its about time I could play something!!!"
"Bled to death" was released through Dead sun rec. Are you satisfied with their work ?
"Yeah, we are happy with Deadsun or else we wouldn't be signing for the album through them. We hope to work more closely with them next time and get the promo excellent."

Do you know DAB and Ghurkkas, bands of D.S.R. owner J.F.Rey ? What do you think about his music ?
"I have only heard DAB and didn't think a great deal of it. I heard that Ghurkkas is pretty good and brutal though!"

There was always some rumour between French and English, mainly in the past... So I found it strange when English band was released through French label...
"Well, they were interested, and the deal was good for both of us. Also we have had a lot of good reviews and press in France. There has been rumours with loads of countries not just the french!"

There are any photos, lirycs on the coversheet of "Bled..." Why ? Are you so ugly, huh ??
"Yeah we are all fucking ugly cunts, that's why we don't get any groupies at our gigs!! No we just didn't have not got any good photos at the time. Actually we still don't. We are all too busy fucking around all the time!! As for the lyrics well fuck knows what they are about!! Lyrics will be on the album provided the Italian singer can get his fucking lazy arse into gear!!"

You play bass in the band. Do you think that your instrument is important for 7th Child ?
"Yeah! It adds to the brutallity when its done right there is too much shit death metal!! With players who cant actually play!!"

In late 80's and middle 90's there was greath death/grind scene in England. You know, Napalm death, Cancer, Carcass, etc... Then came doom times with Anathema, My dying bride... And now when I listen to 7th Child, Gorerotted I wonder... Maybe your bands are just the beginnig of Second Wave of Brithish Death Metal ???
"Well, I fucking hope so!! There are few good bands over here now, and it has been about time man fuck I remember when Carcass and Bolt thrower played there first ever gig. Shit that was some time ago!!!"

Speaking about English scene. I have question about Desecration. I've heard about their problems with censorship and police...
"I think they were unlucky but censorship is a big problem in this country. shit you can't get any decent porn here!!"

I know that following question is always in all your interviews, but..,. What is the meaning of bands name ?
"Oh, that one again! Well, it comes from old english folklore and means that the 7thchild of the family is said to become vampyric! Not that we belive that shit but old folklore is always interesting."

Do you like Sinister ? I"ve found some familiar parts in "Bled..." to Dutches music...
"Yeah I like Sinister they are pretty cool."

What is your parents reaction for 7th Child music ?
    "They love it!! Yeah right!"

English Mother Queen has just turned 100 years. Do you like her ?Do you think that she would like 7th Childs music ?
    "No! and no!!"

Ha, ha...What about your live shows. Do you play live often ? Any tour in the schedule ?
"Yeah we play live a bit. Hopefully we can play in Europe some gigs in december and then hopefully full tour next year."

When you'll record "Bled..." successor ?? What can you tell me about this forthcoming album ?
"We shall be recording the next release entitled "Dead, embalmed and six feet under" torwards the end of the year and it will probably be through Deadsun again."

I hope it will crush and kill !! Could you promise me that ?
    "Yes man!!! Definitely!"

That's all for now. Thanx for your time and good luck !!
"Thanks Andy all the best with the mag."
