  • Infinited Hate

Wywiad przeprowadził Tomasz Osuch This is another musical act on the huge and divine Dutch metal stage. Infinited Hate is a new band but with skilled musicians in the line up - ex-members of Sinister. We can say that Infinited Hate will not be a one-album-band because they have plans, they have determination to create death metal and they will surely do that. I'm sure they will smash our heads and kick our asses in the future many times! I talked to Aad Kloosterwaard about Infinited Hate, their album and a couple of other things. From what I see it was not difficult to form Infinited Hate. You didn't have any troubles with finding members because Ron and Rachel already played with you. Anyway, why did you decide to start Infinited Hate? You started this band a few months before Sinister called it a day so it seems that Infinited Hate had little to do with Sinister's end and vice versa... maybe I am wrong?

"Yes, it was not difficult for me because Rachel and Ron also liked to go on with Infinited Hate so that was really cool. It was even perfect because this was also one of the reasons why I split-up Sinister, it was driving me crazy to look everytime for new members and believe me it's difficult to find members in Holland and then they need also the talent to play our stuff and only some people are able to do this. I had so many problems at the end that I lost fun for playing drums, everytime practice the old stuff when we have again a new member in the band, at the end it was to much. The split-up from Sinister has nothing to do with Infinited Hate. I started this band so I was able to sing and not play the drums because of all the problems with Sinister at the end I lost a bit the fun for playing drums so I will stop for some time with playing drums but you never know I always can start again when I start missing it."

You also stopped playing drums in Houwitser and decided to sing in Houwitser as a second vocalist - in Infinited Hate you are also a second vocalist. Did you find a new drummer for Houwitser yet? Can you say how did it happen that you decided to sing? Was the influence from Rachel?

"I always did like to sing so this was a great moment to start with it. We are looking for a drummer at the moment for Houwitser but we have already somebody who will play on our new c.d but we hope to find somebody soon who like to stay with us as a full time member. What the hell do you mean or it was a influence from Rachel? Do you think that she was saying Aad you have to stop with playing drums and start singing? No way man."

Your style of playing drums was very characteristic and probably there are no drummers who play in the same way. But now there is no the 'drums' feeling because of you use the drum machine.

"You never know when I start missing it I will start again for sure but for the moment it's cool like this. Yes, your right, I had my own style of playing and I am really proud of this. Always a lot of people say that you can here it right away when it's me so that's killer to know. What you are saying about no feeling in the drums. I think it's not true but when you think it what can I say."

This question is quite necessary here - is Infinited Hate a band or just a project band? Are you planning to make play any shows, are you looking for musicians who could help you out? By the way - why doesn't Ron want to play concerts?

"It's a real band, no project. Yes, we love to start play live with Infinited Hate but first we have to find members to complete the line-up for the live shows. Maybe we have already find a drummer but we have to wait or he is able to play our sickness. For Ron he doesn't want to play live because of his family and you have to accept that, as you know we are start to be old ha ha ha."

A few months ago you informed the world that you were working on the new Sinister's album - "Heaven Termination" and that the 6 new songs had already been finished. What will happen with this material in this situation? Was the part of these songs re-arranged and used on the "Revel In Bloodshed"?

"No, all the songs on "Revel In Bloodshed" were made for Infinited Hate but what you say is right, we had 6 tracks ready for Sinister but now they are for Infinited Hate, so then you know how the new Infinited Hate will sound like ha ha ha."

Aren't you afraid that no matter what you will play - people will always compare Infinited Hate to Sinister? In the first years of Houwitser, this band was very often compared to Sinister. It seems that with Infinited Hate these comparisons can be probably stronger - Sinister is now a history and all the members from the last line up are playing now in Infinited Hate...

"Of course they will do this but we don't care about it at all, we know why we stop with Sinister and nobody else. All our new stuff is even more Sinister than our first c.d, it's normal when all the same members are in the band, only it will be cool when people can give us a fair change but when they don't no problem for us we go on with making good music. We had already 6 tracks ready for the new Sinister now they are for Infinited Hate. It will be funny when people start saying the Sinister songs are better ha ha ha."

"Revel In Bloodshed" isn't your first ever record. Before this album you did a promo called "Primitive Butchery" and thanks to this promo Displeased Records signed with you. Did you have any other offers?

"Yes, we recorded a 2 track promo c.d in 1 day to send out to some labels and Displeased Rec offered us a nice deal for the band so we are happy with this. There were some more label offers but Displeased was cool."

Infinited Hate plays other death metal than you play/played in other bands. In Infinited Hate this is more in American. Are these ideas which you compose in Infinited Hate could not be used in the other bands which you play/played? Are you fully satisfied from the result of "Revel In Bloodshed"?

"Infinited Hate was/is a different band than Sinister so that's also the reason why this band sounds different and we also like the US death metal. We have this influence in Infinited Hate but the new stuff is more in Sinister style. Only faster and twisted so when you liked Sinister then you will like this stuff a lot for sure. And hell yes, we are happy with the Infinited Hate c.d, also when you know that we did the c.d in one week time."

Infinited Hate's promotion has already started and among the question you will also be asked about Sinister, I guess. And this is what I do it in this interview. Sinister does not exist - do you know how many death metal and Sinister maniacs are disappointed because of that? Do you receive many letters?

"O yes man, so many e.mails. It's not normal but of course also great to know how many fans we have made happy with our music, that's the best compliment we can receive and believe me, when it was not so hard with members we were still playing with Sinister."

What was the reaction to your decision? I mean the reaction of your friends from Houwitser, ex-Sinister members and other friends? By the way, what was the Nuclear Blast's reaction?

"All the members were shocked but they understand my reasons. I have also a full time day job what is hard also when you play in a big band like Sinister. When I ask Nuclear Blast or it was possible to have a different name with Sinister they sad no. So then you know the end of the story."

You were in Sinister since its beginnings. There were many line-up changes in Sinister during those years. I wonder which of the Sinister's line-up was the best and the most solid and worked out the best?

"That's difficult to say. I had a lot of great times but also a lot of bad ones but one thing is for sure that I can look back with a smile on my face."

Sinister is a cult name and a death metal legend. During the years you recorded a few great albums, and among them was one weaker, I think. "Savage Or Grace" is a good death metal record but it seems that this album did not have such an enthusiastic response. Can you agree?

"No, I not agree because a lot of fans were saying that with this album Sinister is back on track and that was also what we were thinking at that time but no problem when you are not thinking like this. It's funny to here that everybody is saying know that we are a cult band or a legend. When we were still playing nobody was saying this to us, then there was always something what was not good and speaking bull shit about us."

There are some intros from the movie on "Revel In Bloodshed". Do you like going to the cinema? Have you seen anything interesing lately?

"I never go to the cinema. I always go to Alex (Houwitser) his place to pick up some d.v.d's from him, he has so fucking many."

Thanks for your time Aad. "Revel In Bloodshed" was released recently but I suppose you are already thinking about the next Infinited Hate album. Any plans in this matter?

"Yes, we hope to record the new one before the end of the year. It will sound a lot like Sinister but till this time check out "Revel In Bloodshed", maybe you like it you never know. And my last words are to all the Sinister fans out there. I'd like to thank you for years of support, I will never forget this and believe me it's difficult to stop with this band after serving this band for more than 16 years. ...hail to metal."
