When I'm listening to the debut album of Ukrainian brutalizers Fleshgore, here and there I hear influences of some great bands: Cannibal Corpse, Deeds Of Flesh, Severe Torture. Fleshgore describes their music as 'US brutal death grind from the Ukraine' and I think this is a really good way to interpret the music included on "Killing Absorption". Although they don't strictly copy the above mentioned bands, some similarities here and there are evident. Having said that, though, it really comes cross that they tried to do something in their own way, but focusing on the especially brutal American way. "Killing Absorption" contains not as much grind as brutal death music. Grind elements provide some variety here and there, but brutal death metal played in a killer way is the most important thing in the band's style. You can find the best of this genre - fast and groovy stuff, vomiting voices, great brutal guitar's riffs and arrangements, and occasionally some solos. Everything incorporates a brutal dimension, on a high level of quality - and sounds very, very good. "Killing Absorption" is one of the most interesting debut albums in previous year. Fleshgore is following through in a cool brutal way and I highly recommend this brutal, Eastern European band.
