    Southern Apocalypse (cd)

Wydane przez Rok wydania 2001Kraj USANapisał Bartosz Donarski9Komentarze (0)Yes. It’s highest time to face the truth. Rock is dead, heavy metal is reborn in a way that sucks, black is spinning around in an unstoppable vicious circle of itself derivatives, Emperor is at death’s door, Michael Jackson is still alive (dear kids, be cautious) as well as his monkey (choose what’s better) and eventually less and less brutal shit is at record shops which seem to be more into posters then real music. Ok. That’s enough. I know that god blesses America, Pope blesses Poland and devil protects Norway, but for fiend’s sake! This is insane. I almost lost my faith in good music. There where times when I was imposed by every record that I grabbed in my hands. Now 70% of the music I receive is dull, dump, stupid, senseless, tedious, unoriginal, artificial, improved by anile keyboards etc. I guess I come to terms that people shit higher then they can stand. Present-day music is infirm. Yes my make-up folks it’s only your fault that faggotry of Marylin Manson is on his (her) throne! Fortunately those times passed away forsaken since I heard BEATEN BACK TO PURE. These five monsters really rock! The fat is in the fire! Yeah, I remember, I have written a minute ago that rock is dead, but not this peculiar one. “Southern Apocalypse” is an ultimate goad for all hippies to commit a commercial suicide. BBTP is not for trendy assholes, make-up makers or all the stupid bitches that yell in ecstasy as they see Ricky Martin squeezing his nipples. This is great death’n’roll that has nothing in common with this boring retro boom artificially produced by Osmose. The Americans don’t play fast and loose, they play fast and then you die. Are they original? I don’t think so. But this is a virtue. BBTP create and perform music they want to listen to. Ben’s vocal is awesome – deep in a throat-pit, Chuck’s drums are atomic, Slam’s old man shoes are covered with shit and mangled in a meatgrinder and Vince’s and Eric’s guitars seem to be on fire. All this sonic inferno was produced by Steve Austin – the man a had a chance to interview some time ago – and I know he is true as fuck. This debut is for all how carry the true spirit of good, harsh and heavy music. There’s nothing left to add. I just want to say that BBTP won’t be a rock star, they are too good to be posers. Get the album and finally try to me yourself.
