    Command Presence (CD)

Wydane przez Self-releasedRok wydania 2015Kraj USANapisał Wouter8Komentarze (0)Vulture Locust - Command PresencePortland, Oregon-based underground author, conspiracy theorist and general dissident Ryan Bartek returns with album n° 3. "Command Presence" fuses elements of thrash metal, grind, hardcore, and punk into something resembling controlled chaos. "Cold Civil War" and "We Need To Talk" were underproduced explosions of rightful anger and frustration, "Command Presence" actually has a production worth mentioning. It actually kind of sounds like "Inhale/Exhale" Nasum, especially Bartek's shrieks and barks having the same piercing quality that made the late Mieszko Talarczyk such a memorable frontman. The album is an anthology of sorts as it retakes all songs off 2013's "Cold Civil War" and the signature tracks off 2014's "We Need To Talk" along with a handful of brand new material. It isn't quite as over-the-top as Immoral Majority, or Deathrats – but it harnesses the same kind of frustration and rightful indignation at every thing wrong with the world. This is the kind of album you'd hope Terrorizer would release, but somehow never does. America has a history of delivering excellent grindcore, Vulture Locust is no different. Hopefully we'll see Bartek further polishing up its production, and maybe reserve a guest spot or two for grind/powerviolence – and hardcore queens Izza-Kate Grace, Krystina Krysiak, Christine Cunniff, Samantha (of defunct Canadian grinders Rape Revenge) or the incendiary Madison Marshall. Imagine the fireworks that would give. Vulture Locust commands its presence. Kill your idols.
