Embrional is one of those Polish bands that has been around for a long time. 2003 in this case, dating back even earlier when they were known as Embrional Necrophilism, but they didn't starting making waves until fairly recently. Debuted with "Absolutely Anti-Human Behaviors" in 2012. "The Devil Inside" is interesting in that it plays death metal through a vaguely black metal framework/mindset. It's technical in parts, straightforward in others and eerily melodic every so often. The bass guitar lies thick in the mix, and it has a few interesting licks in a couple of songs. The vocals are reminiscent of all those death/black metal hybrids that No Fashion Records used to sign en masse in the 1990s. The guitar work sometimes channels pre-"A Sun That Never Sets" Neurosis. On a song as '910' Embrional almost sounds South American in its blasting and overall level of aggression. It doesn't immediately sound like any of the established Polish institutions, and that is part of its charm.
