I have no fucken idea what this band is aiming at, but I do know where they are from… Italy. We all fucken know what that means. Going by the band photo this looks like one confused bunch. Clown paint, circus masks, a chick singer that keeps her top on. What the flying fuck is this supposed to be? It’s like Insane Clown Posse met Mushroomhead and spawned a bunch of ugly children. And they call themselves avant-garde, no less. Odin knows that avant-garde in metal usually means one of two things. The band either plays thinly veiled pop/rock or they play fucken Tim Burton Metal. I don’t know about you fucken assholes, but either of those options is fucken wretched and terrible. I dunno. Wasn’t this band called fucken Lacuna Coil at one point? A male backing singer in female-fronted alternative metal is as useful as a bass guitarist in Dark Funeral. What this band does have is riffs. They aren’t particularly good riffs, but at least there are some. They are fucken impotent metalcore riffs and watered down In Flames riffs for the most part, but you gotta take what you can get. For all the piling I do on Cristina Scabwhore she at least has the decency to show some leg, or some boob every once in a while. Here we get fucken neither. Which is probably not much of a waste, cos the female singer isn’t what you call attractive, with or without her top on. You know, this chick singer should do a fucken duet with Georgia Marra from Winter Haze, or with Mara Frischherz from Innerfate. That would be fucken grand. I don’t know why this fucken stupid band insists on being labeled avant-garde, cos this is about as far from experimental and avant-garde as one can get. This also sounds a lot like that tween symfo metal band Circus Of Labia, I mean, Lamia. Is Jade Shady of legal age yet? Odin knows we really fucken need to see her fucken topless. Do you know what the fuck this is? Pop metal with a fucken pretentious concept that really isn’t worth explaining. Being that as it may this is actually pretty tolerable, and this band could be really fucken worth something if they weren’t so busy with writing pop hooks in their female-fronted metalcore. Granted, it’s better than fucken UnSun, Xandria or Niobeth – but how much is that fucken saying exactly? I know, not much. So yeah, fucken gothic/symfo metal from Italy. That’s about all you need to fucken know whether you’d like this or not. I’m not nearly drunk enough to waste more words on this band, and their fucken demo EP. So yeah, fuck off already.
