Dude, know what I dislike? Stupid people. So, here’s a record that might elevate your thinking if only for a minute. I can take what they’ve taught and make it work. I know, dude. This dude with his awful receding hairline was in The Berzerker for a bit. This scruffy-looking Sam Bean fellow, you know. Obviously the guy is pissed for some reason. Maybe cos he busted his balls with The Berzerker for years with no paycheck to make it worth the effort and trouble? Dude, you’re losing me. It would explain how incredibly frustrated and angry he sounds here. But, dude, is this The Berzerker? This would be a better place if you could free your mind of thought. No, you tobacco chewing inbred fuckwit - this is similar to The Berzerker, there’s a subtle difference. Pay attention. Dude, you’re confusing me. How’s this "similar to" The Berzerker? Well, ditch the industrial drums and gabber beats, for a start. Maybe PowerMorbid 5000 can find some use for them. Who knows? Add some mechanical Mithras structures, overlay the whole with dueling leads/solos and have Bean scream, shout, grunt and bark over it. Dude, you for real? That sounds great! Apparently this is therapeuthic and cathartic for Bean, cos he rants, spits and insults about every topic imaginable that pisses him off. Are you insulting me, dude? No. Dude is pissed, like, for reals. Most strikingly among the songs is ‘Death to Metal’ which is a stream-of-conscious rambling about what is wrong with the underground - and frankly, Bean’s thoughts and my own pretty much align. By Odin, I could have ghostwritten this song if I ever had a talent for writing lyrics. I’ll just stick to my known talent, and continue to insult most of metal’s fandom, and the stupid bands that remain popular for Odin knows what fekkin reason. Dude, the underground is great! My friend is in a band! Well, you and your friend (a much better non-metal band comes to mind now) can go die in a fire, for all I care. But, dude, like, bro, you’re, like, this music critic who I absolutely respect. Right, meanwhile I’m still waiting for Emma Kuziara to declare her undying lust and love for me. Sigh, this is going nowhere, man. Shut up already, before you hurt yourself or one of your stupid friends. You have been warned. Dude, shut up! Don’t make me send Sam Bean after you...
