    Supernatural Addiction ()

King Fowley (vocals, drums) is one of the most distinct and recognizable voices in the scene. Like a good portion of their discography "Supernatural Addiction" carries a heavy traditional metal vibe and is one of the faster releases out of their discography. Like many bands of that generation Deceased merge melody with structural brutality and an ounce of technicality. Above all else bands like this concentrate on writing engaging songs with recognizable hooks, spirited leads/solos and instantly memorable riffs. It also helps that Deceased has a sound all their own. Elements of heavy metal, thrash - and older forms of death metal seep through this band’s body and nothing sounds forced or contrived. Seeing how this is one of the ancient masters in the genre Fowley’s vocals are more of a thrash shout than a real death grunt. In many ways his vocals are comparable to those of Johnny Hedlund (Unleashed). The album builds further on themes and concepts explored on "Fearless Undead Machines". "Supernatural Addiction" was originally released in 2000 through Relapse Records, but is now re-issued by traditional metal specialist label Hells Headbangers with a number of bonus tracks.
