    Bleeding Demos ()

Wydane przez Wings Of Destruction ProductionsRok wydania Kraj IsraelNapisał Wouter5Komentarze (0)Morbid Tendency - Bleeding DemosHailing from Israel this one-man act is a tribute to the old school US death metal sound as popularized by the likes of Deicide, Massacre, Malevolent Creation and the likes. "Bleeding Demos" is, as the name implies, a glorified demo collection. The record starts off with the original five tracks of Morbid Tendency's 2009 "The Old Adam" demo. This demo is plagued by rather typical errors inherent to a band's first recording venture. The riffs vary in the mix, sometimes being pushed to the background other times they drown out the remaining instruments. The convincing guitar leads/solos are reminiscent of the classic work of Rick Rozz (ex-Death, ex-Massacre) and Allen West (ex-Obituary, ex-Six Feet Under). The programmed drums fare as well as one can reasonably expect. They are reminiscent of those used on Mortician 1996's "Hacked Up For Barbeque". The bass guitar is audible and is responsible for most of the heaviness of the material. The vocals are good enough and are similar to those of early Vader. Production-wise this is similar to Mortician's "Mortal Massacre" in its sheer cavernous nakedness and live feeling. Overall Morbid Tendency is just another one-man death metal act in a scene swamped by mediocrity and unoriginality, standing out only because of its geography. "Bleeding Demos" is charming in its old school authenticity and of its representation of a region not popularly associated with extreme metal because of religious, cultural and social reasons. It is far too early to judge whether Morbid Tendency has a future. As for a first demo this is somewhat promising in a naive way.
