Epic melancholic sounding black metal in the tradition of Dissection ("Storm Of the Light's Bane") and post-"Into the Nightside Eclipse" Emperor from Attica, Greece. The moody lead/solo in 'Murder the Dawn' adds a lot of character, this is immediately followed by a piano section with lush waves of keyboards. 'Noctural Delight' and 'The Burning Path' are two re-recorded cuts off their 2005 demo "In Darkness We Shall Reign". 'Assail the Creation', 'In Silence They March', 'Despair' and 'Jaws Of Dark Demise' were taken from their 2007 demo "APOGNOSIS". The only truly new cuts are the title track 'Miasma' and the Dark Fortress cover 'Iconoclasm Omega'. These new cuts show The Eternal Suffering showing a wider scope in their melancholic arrangements and arsenal of riffs. Unlike many other Hellenic acts The Eternal Suffering sound quite Scandinavian in their arrangements and use of melodies. "Miasma" was recorded at S.L Studios. Engineered, mixed and mastered by Steve Lado. The artwork, design & lay-out by Aish is nothing short of superb.
