Grindcore from Sydney, Australia in the vein of (early) Napalm Death, Flesh Parade, Nasum, Cripple Bastards, Phobia, Pig Destroyer, Rotten Sound, etc. The band sounds as mix between Nasum and SWAATTS, combining the ferocity of the former with the modern approach of the latter. The tempo is relentless and "Our Ashes Built Mountains" crushes everything in its path. Much like early Pig Destroyer and Nasum this band doesn't waste any time with build-ups, instead they get in, get out and leave ruins in their wake. The urgency and immediacy of the majority of these tracks is amazing. The album contains 20 tracks, featuring guest appearances by Jason Peppiatt (Psycroptic), Jarrod Krafcyk (ex-The Amenta), Alex Pope (Ruins), Anna Vo (Crux), Blake Simpson (Gallows for Grace) and Tim Pope (The Amenta). Recorded at Studio 301 with producer Tim Carr the massive sounding pristine production is similar to SWWAATS' "The Grand Partition and Abrogation of Idolatry". Artwork, design and lay-out by Colin Marks (Aborted, Suicide Silence, SWWAATS, Whitechapel) are fantastic as ever. Beyond Terror Beyond Grace are far from re-writing the grindcore rulebook but this album is certainly helping them standing proud among its pioneers.
