Like "The Apostasy" and "Demigod" before it this new record is the most ambitious and epic undertaking the band have done so far. Nergal, Orion, Seth and Inferno have delivered their most extreme, multi-layered and intricate record to date. Roll-out single 'Ov Fire and the Void' is an epic slow builder, much in vein of Nile's 'Sarcophagus'. 'Daimonos' and 'Shemhamforash' are Behemoth's most brutal cuts to date and can easily be put together with something as 'Slaves Shall Serve' from "Demigod". Famed Polish musician, singer and poet Maciej Malenczuk provides guest vocals on 'Lucifer'. Where Inferno's drumming seems to have an all-time creative high on "The Apostasy" this new record sees him upping his work behind the kit once more. Recorded at Radio Gdansk Studio with producer Arkadiusz "Malta" Malczewski. Famed producer duo Wojciech and Slawomir Wieslawski from Hertz Studio helped co-producing the guitars, bass and vocals. Drums produced by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Emeth, In Flames, Dark Funeral). Mixed at Miloco Studios, London by Colin Richardson (Carcass, Fear Factory, Gorguts, Machine Head, Napalm Death). The album cover artwork is a depiction of The Great Harlot of Babylon, the figuress of evil mentioned in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. The digipack edition includes a bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes footage and expanded artwork. "Evangelion" is probably the best record this band has written to date and with a catalogue as strong and diverse as their own, this is no easy feat.
