    Souls Of Damnation ()

Wydane przez Earache RecordsRok wydania Kraj NorwayNapisał Wouter8Komentarze (0)Blood Red Throne - Souls Of DamnationNaming their latest offering after a track of their debut album "Monument Of Death" Norwegian death metallers Blood Red Throne are not going to change their ways. This is Florida death metal by way of Norway. Guitarists Daniel Olaisen and Tchort churn out a maelstrom of cruel fleshripping riffs while bassist extra-ordinaire Erlend Carpersen (who has done session work for Deeds Of Flesh, Emeth, Incinerate and Vile) once graces the album with his funky and unusual bass lines. Blood Red Throne still sounds like Massacre on speed or "Tomb Of the Mutilated" era Cannibal Corpse. The production is once again outstanding being clear while retaining the old school grittiness that this band is known for. Recorded at Deadline Studio by Valle Adzic (Impious) "Souls Of Damnation" is Blood Red Throne's best produced album to date. The limited-edition first pressing of the CD, which will coincide with the band's 10th anniversary, will include two bonus tracks ('Manifest Of Lies' and a re-recorded version of 'Affiliated With the Suffering'), plus a special DVD featuring an exclusive new interview with the band, along with an in-depth studio diary documenting the album's recording process. Compared to 2007's "Come Death" the digital artwork, design and lay-out are top notch and the most modern the band has had. "Souls Of Damnation" is Blood Red Throne's most concise and accomplished record to date and it's time a bigger label snatches them up.
