Onto their sixth album, having released a handful of albums prior and having a cemetery worth of members in and out of their ranks Impiety is about never compromising, never surrendering in the face of adversity. "Terroreign" takes the middleground between Rebaelliun's "Annihilation", Morbid Angel ("Altars Of Madness") and "Hammer Of Gods" era Angelcorpse. Death metal, black metal and old school thrash all feature prominently in Impiety's sound and have done so since 1996's "Asateerul Awaleen". With the addition of Rangel Arroyo the death metal influence has become more prevalent and the chaotic screaming leads/solos have become an integral part of Impiety's sound on this record. The drumming is merciless to say the least. Tremor hammers down each opening there is into submission while the bass guitar is dubiously absent in the mix. "Terroreign" is Impiety's most polished record to date as far as production goes. The guitars are nicely thick and clear, the bass drum rumbles loudly and the drum sound powerful. As with all Impiety releases no expenses were spared in the artwork, design and lay-out. "Terroreign" has the most expansive artwork and lay-out since 2002's "Kaos Kommand 696". This is probably what Sepultura had sounded like today had they continued in the direction of their little heard and underappreciated "Morbid Visions" and "Bestial Devastation" records.
