Swedish industrial death metallers The Project Hate are onto their sixth album with "The Lustrate Process". Like on their previous albums The Project Hate combines chugging midtempo death metal while alternating the serene female vocals of Jonna Enckell with the booming grunts of Jörgen Sandström (ex-Grave) and Kenth Philipson (God Among Insects, GlobalDomination.se). A broad comparison is oddly enough a death metal incarnation of Italy's Lacuna Coil, circa "Comalies". Overall, this could be describes as old school Swedish death metal with "Downward Spiral" era Nine Inch Nails industrial bits and serene female vocals. The production is nothing short of fantastic with a thick guitar tone that is both crunchy, heavy and clear. The bass guitar features prominently and roars diabolically. The guest leads/solos by Pär Fransson and Mike Wead spice up the whole even more. The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound in Örebro, Sweden. The artwork, lay-out and booklet design was handled by Statik Majik. Guest appearances include Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth), Martin van Drunen (Asphyx, Hail Of Bullets), Mike Wead (King Diamond, Bibleblack), LG Petrov (Entombed), Robban Eriksson and Christian Älvestam (ex-Scar Symmetry).
