    Into the Mausoleum (EP)

Wydane przez BlackSeed ProductionsRok wydania Kraj SpainNapisał Wouter7Komentarze (0)Graveyard - Into the MausoleumOld school death metal from Barcelona, Spain including a faithful cover of Death's early classic 'Zombie Ritual'. Opening with 'Entrance' which holds a similar sample from the classic George A. Romero zombie movie "Night Of the Living Dead" (which Mortician also used extensively for their "Mortal Massacre" EP) the tone is set immediately. The title track reeks of Incantation, circa "Onward to Golgotha" with vocals sounding somewhere between Daniel Corchado (ex-Cenotaph, The Chasm) and Craig Pillard. The production of this EP is similar to Cenotaph's semi-legendary "The Gloomy Reflections Of Our Hidden Sorrows". 'One Of Them' sounds distinctively Swedish in its straightforward Stockholm riffing. Drummer Jordi Gusi sounds inspired by the likes of Kyle Severn (Acheron, ex-Incantation) and Pete Hammoura (ex-Nile), although he isn't as skilled nor as fast as the latter. The cover of Death's 'Zombie Ritual' is done with gusto, passion and conviction. Recorded at Moontower Studio, in actuality the band's home studio, and blessed with traditional handdrawn artwork by tattoo artist Roberto P. Giordano "Into the Mausoleum" is death metal in its purest form. This EP is limited to 1000 copies worldwide. Antichristian Front Records also has re-released this EP on vinyl with an A2 poster, including a cover of Bolt Thrower's war anthem 'Cenotaph'. Graveyard is definitely Spain's best kept secret in pure and traditional death metal.
