There's more death metal in Spain than long-standing flag-bearers Avulsed. Dying hail from Seville and play a somewhat older and darker sounding take on the genre. "Born From Impurity" has a sound similar to a faster and leaner Morpheus Descends or a more straightforward and less technically refined Monstrosity. Vocals remind of Daniel Corchado (The Chasm, ex-Incantation, ex-Cenotaph). This is solid dark death metal with a clinical almost pristine production. The tracks of this record go through multiple tempo changes, alternating chunky mid-tempo sections with fierceless blasting. The spooky leads/solos add greatly to the traditional feel of this record. Recorded at Cube Sulociones Studio by Ruben Rey. Artwork, design and lay-out by Phlegeton Art Studio are a bit too stereotypical for a band of this kind, but it fulfills it purpose quietly. If Dying eventually ends up getting contracted by Sevared Records or Lacerated Enemy Records, it wouldn't be too much of a surprise, seeing how they are both solid and traditional in their assault.
