Ayat (Hebrew for 'miracle') seems to be the Lebanese answer to Finland's goat worshippers Impaled Nazarene. Both acts share a penchant for combining blasting black metal with nuclear hardcore punk and the desire desecrate anything holy in its path. Coming from Lebanon, a republic between Syria and Israel that's been privy to lengthy civil wars and perennial religious conflicts there's no doubt about the authenticity of Ayat's hatred displayed on this record. This is perhaps the most violent and disgusting black metal debut since Anaal Nathrakh's 2001 atom blast that was "Codex Necro". The bands outspoken views on the Islam has even made them walking targets in their own homeland. Besides the main course of black metal, there's more subtle influences from industrial, Middle Eastern melodies to neckbreaking crust and hardcore punk.
