    Ob(servant) ()

Wydane przez Nuclear Blast RecordsRok wydania Kraj AustraliaNapisał Wouter8Komentarze (0)Psycroptic - Ob(servant)Hobart, Australia based technical death metallers Psycroptic have ascended to the upper elechon of the genre over the course of just three albums. Their latest effort, "Ob(servant)", is their most concise, coherent and accomplished record to date. Sounding both more technical and accessable while keeping the band's twisted song structures and brutality intact. Vocalist Jason Peppiatt has come into his own and his frantic vocal delivery is far more natural sounding while reclaiming some of the general insanity of former vocalist Matthew Chalk. "Ob(servant)" is – at first sight – a more accessible affair compared to the band's former two records. Upon closer inspection Psycroptic still manage to fill every track of this record with an unreal amount of finger-twisting riffs, mind-bending drum patterns and insane bass lines. This is the band's most technical and accomplished material to date. Recorded at Red Planet Studios in Hobart, Australia. Mixed and mastered by Logan Mader for Dirty Icon Productions (Divine Heresy). "Ob(servant)" features dazzling artwork by Raymond Swanland (Deeds Of Flesh). The limited edition comes in an amazing slipcase with an additional bonus DVD with a duration of nearly 85 minutes. The DVD includes a making-of documentary of the new album and 2 live sets recorded at Amsterdam, Holland and Wellington, New Zealand. Psycroptic have established themselves as the new luminaries in the technical death metal scene. Nuclear Blast Records have outdone themselves signing these guys up. "Ob(servant)" will become a genre classic in just a few years from now.
