The Age Of Miracles Has Passed ()

Wydane przez Unique Leader RecordsRok wydania Kraj USANapisał Wouter7Komentarze (0)Lecherous Nocturne - The Age Of Miracles Has PassedThis Greenville, South Carolina act is irrevocably bound to Nile and Monstrosity with the presence of Chris Lollis (touring bass, Nile) who plays guitars in this constellation, Monstrosity bassist Mike Poggione who lends his extraordinary talents and Nile guitarist/vocalist Dallas Toler-Wade who previously played drums for Lecherous Nocturne. After their respectable 2006 debut "Adoration Of the Blade" on Deepsend Records, Lecherous Nocturne now further explore their black metal influence on their Unique Leader Records debut "The Age Of Miracles Has Passed". While still firmly rooted in the technical death metal category the blistering and wild riffing of Lollis and Kreishloff borders on Swedish black metal with Dissection and Dark Funeral coming to mind as primary influences as far as melodies go. Vocalist Jason Hohenstein has a reasonably well enunciated screamed grunt that fits well for both death - as black metal. Recorded at Soundlab in Columbia, South Carolina with acclaimed producer Bob Moore "The Age Of Miracles Has Passed" comes with a crystal clear, pristine and wide sounding production that gives each instrument the required space to breath while remaining brick heavy in the process. The artwork, design and lay-out are superb and possibly one of the most accomplished Unique Leader Records has released to date. Clocking in at a meager 27 minutes "The Age Of Miracles" is a bit on the short side, however the 8 tracks of this album are expertly written epic death/black metal that is technical, gloomy and evil sounding delivered by perhaps the most underrated musicians currently on the scene.
