Bursting forth from Polish death/black metal act Moloch, this act present a minimal, semi-death/thrash form of black metal. The death/thrash comes particular from the chaotic drumming and the flesh ripping, malevolent old school guitar riffs. The vocals recall much of an Impaled Nazarene or Master influence. While the compositions themselves aren't of the most memorable kind yet the sheer amount of hostility, disgust and power they harness is not often heard in death/black metal the last couple of years. The material could benefit from some more memorable riffs, a catchy hook or two or even just a single track that stands out from this album. "Cold Execution" is a punishing record with little in the way of complexity and the band's relentless delivery only adds to the grim atmosphere. The production is moderate but acceptable for the genre, although a little cleaning up could advantage this band greatly. The unspectacular artwork also takes away much of the general product presentation, although the material of this album makes up for it. Like Throneum and Peru's Anal Vomit before them Moloch Letalis are trendkilling death/black metal that with some additional finetuning could soon belong to the genre's elite.
