    Code Of Violence ()

Wydane przez Moribund RecordsRok wydania Kraj USANapisał Wouter7Komentarze (0)Nocturnal Fear - Code Of ViolenceTaking their moniker from Celtic Frost's legendary debut "Morbid Tales" US death/thrash metal trio Nocturnal Fear deliver a neat little genre record. Perhaps the biggest influence of "Code Of Violence" are German retro-thrash metal monuments such as Destruction, Kreator and Sodom and to a lesser degree even (early) Death. The delivery is fast and unrelenting, reminding of early thrash acts such as Merciless, Possessed and Deathstrike. The leads/solos are of a chaotic and furious nature, while the drumming is fittingly straightforward and not too complex. The material itself is dense in a pounding, fist pumping way. The grooves are pumping and the riffing is headbang inducing fury in its purest form. The music's chaotic nature and blunt force approach recalls Death's classic debut "Scream Bloody Gore" but unlike that record the tracks on this record do not contain many catchy sections or memorable hooks. Despite being only a trio Nocturnal Fear sound heavier and more together than most bands in the standard line-up. The production is quite similar to Morbid Angel's classic debut "Altars Of Madness" and like that album the intensity level and technical skill displayed here is amazing. With the current renewed interest in retro thrash Nocturnal Fear will able to hold their own amongs other neo-retro acts such as Avenger Of Blood, Bonded By Blood, Dekapitator, Evile, Fueled By Fire, Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust and Warbringer.
