A fitting conclusion to the all too short career of one of the most revered Swedish second wave grindcore acts in recent memory. Coming after the double disc collection of unreleased material that was 2006's "Grind Finale" this album comes at just the right time to put Nasum back in the spotlight. Captured live in Osaka, Japan on their last tour the band plays an energetic 25 minute set consisting of 16 tracks primarily taken from their first three records "Inhale/Exhale" (1998), "Human 2.0" (2000) and "Helvete" (2003). The delivery is flawless resulting in the band's typical groovy brand of death, grind and hardcore excelling in every aspect of the presentation on this superbly crafted live record. With tracks such as 'Just Another Hog', 'I Hate People', 'The Masked Face', 'The Idiot Parade', 'A Welcome Breeze of Stinking Air' and 'This Is It' the expected classics are all present on this live document. "Doombringer" once again proves why the venerable Mieszko Talarczyk (who died tragically in the Tsunami disaster of 2004) and Nasum in particular were so important for the second wave of grindcore acts after important genre pioneers such as UK institutions Napalm Death, the much missed Carcass and the likes. Besides the 16 live tracks "Doombringer" as includes the Mitch Harris directed 'Scoop' promotional video and informative liner notes by former Nasum drummer Anders Jakobson.
