Like their brethren in Spawn Of Possession this unit represents the more technical and American influenced side of Swedish death metal. Visceral Bleeding - in the past boasting two Spawn Of Possession members - here differentiate themselves from their contemporaries with a sadistic, no-holds-barred approach that owes as much to artists like Hate Eternal or Pessimist as it does to genre monuments such as Cannibal Corpse and Vader. Guitarists Peter Persson and Martin Bermheden lash out with a torrent of technical, hatefull riffs as drummer Tobias Persson lays down a framework of fills, rolls and blasts through which vocalist Martin Pedersen barks his shouted grunts, somewhat reminiscent of (early) Meshuggah. In sheer intensity, instrumental precision and dead-on focus "Absorbing the Disarray" reminds of Swedish black metal combo Marduk in their prime, while obviously both bands practise entirely dissimilar things conceptually and thematically. Much like fellow Swedish death metallers Insision this band combines the strengths of Swedish death metal with its American counterpart with remarkable technical skill and concise songwriting abilities. The result is an album that appeal as much to brutal - as to technical death metal fanatics in equal measure. "Absorbing the Disarray" was recorded at Flat Pig Studio with producer Robert Ahrling and boasts a high quality production that puts much focus on the guitars and drums while giving the vocals and bass guitar enough space to create a meaty, warm sound that is as gritty as it is clear. Additionally, the albums comes with two high quality promo clips for the tracks 'Rip the Flesh' and 'Disgust the Vile', respectively.
