Peruvian old school death/black metal trio Goat Semen make their label debut with this underproduced live album. Capturing the band at their "La Señal de La Muerte" stint in Cailloma on 4 October 2003 where they shared the bill with Epilepsia, Anal Vomit and Disinter. Goat Semen is inspired by Beherit, Blasphemy, Hellhammer, Sarcofago and Bestial Warlust – and their image of spikes, bullet belts, corpse paint and inverted crosses make sure that there's no mistake about that. The band - who are fronted by underground artist Erick Neyra, alongside guitarist Juan Levifer and drummer Julio Campos - blast relentlessly through their set and do their thing with reckless abandon and utmost conviction despite the production being fittingly underground. The crowd is enthusiastic, frontman Erick Neyra screams, belches and shrieks his way through out most of the material and the band, while occassionally sloppy, sounds like a trained unit in control of the task laid before them. Additionally, there's bonus rehearsal material to be found on this disc, which is always interesting for collectors. Lay-out and design are superb, with artwork provided by Neyra himself. Underground death/black metal afficiniados who long for times past are advised to pick up this neat little gem of black art.
