With the release of Incantation's newest opus "Primordial Domination" the band's former contractor Relapse Records saw the time fit to re-issue "Onward to Golgotha", Incantation's legendary 1992 debut. Of the 11 tracks featured on this record, many have become staple in the band's live set to this day; 'Devoured Death, 'Unholy Massacre', 'Profanation' and 'Deliverance Of Horrific Prophecies' still stand tall today as a testament to Incantation's craft to write timeless and unique US death metal. Recorded at the then unknown Trax East Studio (Burnt By the Sun, Dillinger Escape Plan, God Forbid) with producer Steve Evetts and produced an album that redefined the bounds of brutality and blasphemy for the entire genre of death metal. With this debut Incantation set a new benchmark for the genre. The band would be – alongside Suffocation and Morbid Angel – often imitated but never equalled in determination, craftmanship and consistent delivery. This long awaited re-issue includes a free DVD with three full live sets from the "Onward..." lineup, expanded artwork, and more. McEntee was to soldier on with Incantation while the remaining members went to form short lived bands as Womb and Disciples Of Mockery. Former Incantation frontman Craig Pillard recently resurfaced in US funeral doom metal act Evoken.
