Aborted closes their tenure with Listenable Records with the release of this DVD, their last effort for the French quality label. The main feature of this DVD consists of an integral live set shot at La Locomotive in Paris, May 2006. 13 cameras capture the band doing their thing in an energetic and convincing manner. Danish producer Tue Madsen (who worked the band on various occasions before) was responsible for mixing the sound of this release. Next up are three promo videos the band shot over the years. 'Meticulous Invagination' (of 2003's "Goremageddon") was produced by Maurice Swinkels/Lowlife Media and sees grunter Sven De Caluwé as medical deviant. 'Dead Wreckoning' (of 2005's "The Archaic Abattoir") was produced by acclaimed director Darren Doane in Los Angeles. Finally, 'A Cold Logistic Slaughter' (also of 2005's critically acclaimed "The Archaic Abattoir") makes its world premier on this DVD. Bonus material includes bootleg cuts from the band's appearances at Wacken Open Air (Germany), their 2006 gig in Rome and their 2005 North American tour. Concluding, there's an in-depth interview with the band members blend with a number of older live bootlegs. Overall, this is a great looking DVD package that's worth your money. Aborted is definitely one of the leading death metal bands of the European scene, now it's to see how their Century Media debut "Slaughter & Apparatus : A Methodical Overture" will fare.
