Releasing two demos in '97 and '98, these two legendary tapes were later compiled on one disc called "Vlaemsche Premitieven" through Greek label ISO666 (these days called Info-Black Productions, apparently). This album sold out instantly for two pressings in a row. Gotmoor has abandoned their trollish concept of old, replacing it with a misanthropic modern war inspired image. This reminds a bit of Zyklon, style-wise. Musically, Immortal, Marduk, Setherial and the likes are omnipresent. Razor-sharp, hyper-fast inhuman black metal with dual vocal assault. But not all is well. The drummer has a problem with keeping up with the pace at times, this truly shows in the faster parts of 'Three Sisters Of Sin'. Not only has the drummer problem keeping up with the guitars, the misplaced porn samples really are annoying and a tired gimmick by now. Kudos on their part, Gotmoor have decided to add several moody instrumental industrial tinged interludes through out - elevating this record from mediocrity at least somewhat. Much to my dismay, there are several war samples once again to be found on this record, a trend that continues to persevere in the underground black metal scene. Overall, there are more death metal influences through out this record. With 17 tracks this album is just too long for its own good and redundancy unfortunately rears its head midway. During the second half of the record, the music tends to fade to the background, becoming stale having lost much of its initial impact. Had this album been only 10 tracks long it would have been an amazing and decimating effort. Given the pros and cons mentioned above, Gotmoor have delivered a solid, somewhat flawed debut album for their new label. If this is any indication for Gotmoor's future endeavors, they are on to something. Not the most original or groundbreaking underground black metal around, but it could have been much worse. Check it out.
