I was there few yeaqrs ago and I still remember this beautiful country with it's mountains, lakes, forests... And now I listen to Serenade's music and all memories are even close to me. No, Serenade doesn't play Norwegian black metal inspired by mountains nad woods... no... Serenade members call their music as a progressive death/doom. And that's true. But don't be afraid, theirmusic isn't slow and sad. Even if few songs on "Plague of time" are long. If I have to compare Serenade to other bands I would have to put them beetwen old Anathema, Rush, Acrimony, old Cathedral and Winter with some stoner rock influences. There are only three members in the band playing guitars, drums and singing. Serenade is really "economic" in their musical order, if you know what I mean. This mixture of old doom/death and stoner rock sounds fresh and interesting. Check 'em out.
