Always had a knack for Sepultura in their "Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation" era? Peruvian act Anal Vomit will surely appeal to you then. From the logo, the drum sound to the artwork and music everything about this album screams very early Sepultura. While Anal Vomit hardly scores any points on the originality scale, the sheer ferociousness of their blackish death/thrash metal makes up for that. From the "Evil Dead" intro, to the scream-along verses of 'Sendero Siniestro' down to the borderline hilarious female orgasm sample on 'Temptation and Pleasure' Anal Vomit doesn't particularly go out of their way to hide their primary influence. 'Seed Of Evil' halfway the record first sees Anal Vomit showing its compositional muscle, a track worthy of anyone's attention. 'Kingdom Of the Cruelty II' has typical sodomy lyrics, but isn't musically that mediocre as the lyric sheet would suggest. 'Bestial Masacre' is a track that reminds somewhat of Sepultura's 'Mayhem' - as it is a below 2 minute quickie. 'Camera de Torturas' has some great leads through out. 'Tales Of Sorcery' is the longest track on this record, lasting almost 7 minutes. Through out the blast parts, there are some competent leads delivered and the track slows down multiple times within this cut. This album features two Sepultura covers depending on the format chosen, the cd version has 'Antichrist' as cover whereas the LP format sees 'Troops Of Doom' getting an Anal Vomit make-over. Worthy of your attention if Sepultura's earliest recordings make you foam at the mouth.
