Aantar Lee Coates (ex-Diabolic/ex-Unholy Ghost) is a drummer that needs no introduction to any seasoned death metal fanatic. After being booted from Unholy Ghost he has gathered some skilled musicians and raised Blastmasters. Parallels with the latter two bands are bound to arise. With the three tracks on this "Promo 2004" - recorded by Juan "Punchy" Gonzalez at the Diet Of Worms Studios - Blastmasters deliver a gutwrenching testimony of modern brutal death metal. 'Implemented Digital Control' leaves nothing to the imagination and sees the band showing its roots quite clearly. Torrents of punishing riffs with devastating drumwork with some great solo'ing thrown in for good measure. 'The Beheadings' is more to-the-point and wastes no time in setting up a time tested yet effective song structure, which harkens back to the early nineties death metal in the combination of fast blasting parts and doomy mid tempo intersections. 'Le Fin Du Monde' follows in these footsteps and displays Coates' incredible drumming skills. Productionwise one wouldn't say this is an actual demo because the sound is in par with the majority of albums released these days. These guys will get a contract soon, mark my words.
