After a couple of rehearsal tapes the band recorded two obscure full lengths, namely "Steel Inferno" in 1998 and "Mass Suicide" in 2000. Thanks to the fine people of Displeased Records/From Beyond Productions both albums are now widely available again with additional material. Adding up to a total of 21 tracks. Productionwise the "Mass Suicide" album is deliciously old school: the sound is primitive, raw and delivered with the utmost of conviction. The band`s Chilean roots surface as obscure esoteric soundscapes have been included to maximize the listening experience. Highlights on "Mass Suicide" are `Blasphemy and Lust`, `The Red Night` and `Welcome Antichrist`. "Steel Inferno" focuses more on faster material as `Vengeance Command` and `Violent Poison` display. Concluding, the three tracks of Ammit`s 2004 studio sessions show the band`s experience. Therefore it comes as no surprise that these track are faster, tighter and more compact than all the material previously mentioned. "Steel Inferno" has Ammit in its most basic form, bringing old school black/thrash straight from the heart. "Mass Suicide" sees the band distilling their traditional primitiveness into more coherent and memorable songs, whereas the 2004 studios sessions combine both styles. Old school fanatics will love this record. Highly recommended.
