Feel the Nothingness Of Our Moral Inferno (cd)

With 11 tracks with an average running time between one to two minutes "Feel the Nothingness..." comes off as a grind structured whole of short outburst of controlled aggression. Productionwise the album is a bit flat with a mechanical sounding drum and guitars that miss power during the slower parts. Vocally Dead Rivers brings later At the Gates to mind with rapid delivery high pitched screams and grunts. Technically the album is far from primitive presenting an incredible amount of compositional ideas within the limited timeframe of the tracks. This is where the band`s biggest flaw lies. Whereas most bands take the time to present and work out an idea Dead Rivers presents an idea and then quickly disposes it in favor to jump to another track leaving the said idea unused and thus the impact isn`t as deep. Provided that Dead Rivers take the time to work out their compositional ideas a little more they promise to become a band to keep an eye on.
