There are no weak or accidental bands in Unique Leader... and what is true is that they always release really amazing stuff. They release few albums a year but you are sure that every single time they strike with something that will smash your head and break into pieces. Just think about last albums of such bands as Gorgasm or Deeds Of Flesh or about debut albums of Severed Savior, Disavowed and Spawn Of Possession. Not such a long time ago they found a new member for their family - a Dutch band Brutus. Their album is another example for the fact that death metal has been doing really well lately. Brutus is a really brutal, spine-crashing death metal machine - with as many as three vocalists. You might find some similarities to Nile but I would not say that they are influenced by them. On top of that all they do not slow down even for a moment - but they do not do it for all the time. With their debut album they show us that in the very beginning of their career they can do a lot and that they work very hard to find their identity. They want to do something that they will once be able to call "their own". There are a lot of death metal bands in Holland and everyone there wants to play something that is at least a little bit original. Most of them managed to achieve that. I guess that Brutus will join them soon. It is possible that they already did join!
