MASTIPHAL's new album Damnatio Memoriae is being released by Witching Hour Productions as a double CD digi-pack featuring the band's entire discography and a special bonus: footage of band playing live in 1994 and remastered audio track from that event.
Says Flauros, vocalist for Mastiphal and Darzamat's frontman: "We had a lot of questions regarding our stuff. Unfortunately our former labels stopped the distribution of the old materials. So when this new opportunity from Witching Hour Productions arose we had no doubts that it's worth to prepare the re-edition."
However, Mastiphal does not confirm the full reactivation of the band.
"We had a few rehearsals during which we jammed some noisy and dirty black'n'roll, so if we decide to record something new you can be sure it will be without compromises," adds Flauros. "Of course there's a question of getting the band together. Maybe this time it could work out. But for now we don't want to make any statements."
Damnatio Memoriae will be available worldwide in November 2009 via Code7/Plastic Head.
