Imperial Vengeance sign to Candlelight Records

Edward-Alexander (guitars/vox/orchestration) and David Bryan (Bass/Lyrics). Inspired by the glory days of the British Empire, a collection of songs presenting a range of subjects influenced by the colourful social and military histories, theatre, literature and mythologies started to materialise- and by March 2008 the duo produced a self released 2-disc DVDROM package "Death: August & Royal" to much critical acclaim. Radio appearances and a growing interest soon followed, and a special limited box set edition of this release was made available via the bands' MySpace page.
Stylistically the music incorporates elements from a broad musical palette including black metal and classical music, the band is primarily rooted as a metal outfit. The partnership between Alexander and Bryan has very clearly defined roles - the former being the composer and orchestrator whilst the latter works as lyricist and art director, though for live appearances the duo have conscripted the talents of Elle Torry and James Murray (guitars) with returning session drummer Bill Drury to accompany the two core members into the onstage entourage.
