Data dodania 2007-11-09Dodał WouterŹródło blabbermouth.netSANCTIFICATION, the Swedish death metal band featuring current members of GOD AMONG INSECTS, IN BATTLE and SOULDRAINER, has recruited Tony Laureano (DIMMU BORGIR, ex-NILE, ANGELCORPSE) to lay down the drum tracks for the group's long-awaited second album. The recording sessions for the as-yet-untitled CD will take place next spring at the Abyss Studios in Sweden. A summer/fall 2008 release via Pulverised Records is expected.
SANCTIFICATION parted ways with drummer Nils Fjellström earlier in the year due to "his busy schedule with DARK FUNERAL," according to a press release.
Commented the band: "The loss of Nils was a big one but this feels like a fresh start for us, and we are very happy and honoured that Tony wants to do this with us. He is a great guy and a fantastic drummer, so this feels absolutely awesome. The writing of the album is in full progress and as soon as all the songs are done we will start to plan the recording accordingly."
SANCTIFICATION's debut album, "Misanthropic Salvation", was released in 2003 through Remission Records.
