Data dodania 2006-05-04Dodał WouterThe Internet has been awash with talks this week concerning the future of Candlemass vocalist Messiah in any future endeavours with the band. Messiah Marcolin first contacted Blabbermouth on the 28th of April stating that he would not be contributing to the recording of the group's forthcoming record -- the follow-up to 2005's critically acclaimed eponymous effort. Marcolin's statement was quickly refuted however, by the following message on the Swedish doomsters' official website:

"Messiah's got a severe pre-recording psychosis at the moment, so folks, please calm down. The band is confident that he will sing on the album as planned. Candlemass will enter the new Polar Studios in Stockholm in May to record the follow up to last year's successful "Candlemass". The new album will feature nine tracks but is yet untitled. The band produces themselves."

In related news, the band recently recorded four new tracks under the watchful eye of Andy Sneap, known for his work with the likes of Arch Enemy, Nevermore and Machine Head. Said to be darker than the material on their last effort, no details have yet been made available as to when or how these songs will be made available to the public.
