The album will include the following tracklisting: ‘Drive’, ‘Regenesis’, ‘Denying Gravity’, ‘Illumination’, ‘Stream Of Consciousness’, ‘Upwards’, ‘Circular’, ‘Millstone’, ‘Touching The Absolute’, ‘Surreal State Of Enlightenment’.
The band check in from the studio: “The adrenaline is flowing in an extreme manner through our veins at the moment. The final takes are about to be recorded in the home studio. Oh yes, the Red Bull did its job. All the beatings producer/guitarist Jochem put the rest of the band through to get the most hyped up take they ever played paid off. 'No, it sucked! Play again!’
At the moment it's Richard's turn to fill up the last frequency layers on the album. With a double trailer he shipped his organ pipes and synths to Jochem. So the little space that was left in the studio is now totally crammed with keys and buttons.
Stef started off the recordings in the Excess Studio in Rotterdam. After four full-time days of brutally torturing his snare drum, he spend two days on the couch like a zombie, trying to get his hands and feet in the right shape again.
The rest of the recordings are done at Jochems studio in Tilburg. Smoothly Dennis, Bart and Jochem played their parts. Amazing how they came close to the "Polars" time record of playing all their basic tractor-pulling riffs in just one night. Taking a rest is for n00bs!... and sleeping too!
The recordings of "Drawing Circles" are Eric's Textures studio-baptism. For two years he's been in the band right now, but he still hasn't had the chance to record anything with them. But professional as he is, he growled, screamed and grinded his way throughout. Without losing his voice, nerves or fainting from an over-enthusiastic scream.
And of course you want to know how it sounds after all this , well, you still have to hold your water for a couple of months ha ha. "Drawing Circles" is on its way to give you a slap in the face!”
