Axamenta
Data dodania 2005-02-09Dodał WouterAs announced last October Belgian progressive death/black metal combo Axamenta inked a deal with Karmageddon Media (formerly known as Hammerheart Records).
Belgium's Axamenta, the former band of current Epica bassist Yves Huts, will enter Hansen studio in Ribe, Denmark in May with producer Jacob Hansen (Mercenary, Raunchy, Aborted) to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in late 2005 via Holland's Karmageddon Media (formerly Hammerheart Records). Mixing and mastering will take place at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden under the supervision of producer Fredrik Nordström, who has previously worked with bands like In Flames, Soilwork, Dimmu Borgir, The Haunted and Old Man's Child.
Axamenta began their career by playing doom, fantasy and brutal death metal, but after a lot of lineup changes, they opted for a radical shift in their musical style and began experimenting with a more technical and progressive approach. Their love for movie scores also made them replace the keyboards by orchestra samples, which gives them a unique sound in the Belgian metal scene.
