Bołnkraszer od zawsze był odważnym człowiekiem. Takim chciałby zostać zapamiętanym. Miał też jedną tajemnicę. Skrywaną przez lata. Do momentu aż nie pojawił się na masterciulu. Chciał zostać czarnym, w sensie murzynem. Przeglądając się sobie w lustrze, od dołu do góry, pytał się sam siebie, a właściwie mamy: „Mamo, dlaczego tato Gerard a nie przystojny student medycyny z Somalii, dlaczego?”. Usłyszał w ripoście głos w głowie: „Gówniarzu, obierz w końcu kurwa te ziemniaki! Poza tym masz czarne syry, nie myjesz ich, nie wystarczy ci niedojdo !?”. Łącząc odwagę z chęcią bycia czarnym, po fazie słuchania rapsów, kiedy zorientował się, że Katowice to nie Bronx, poznał Furię. I tu nastąpiła pełna murzyńska transformacja Bołnkraszera. Zaczął skupować hurtowo płyty, poznawać mrocznych i agresywnych jak wataha wilków, kolegów. Czarna muzyka blek i def metalowa, zaczęła go przenikać od czubka głowy do kostek. Stopy miał od małego czarne. Nawet wtedy kiedy w domu pojawiły się pierwsze buty. Czuł, że w reszcie ciała, staje się czarny jak Etiopski biegacz, czuł, że zbliża się do upragnionej murzyńskości. Koledzy podsuwali mu kolejne płyty, jedna po drugiej była coraz czarniejsza a on razem z nimi. Aż w końcu poznał PN. Białych jak wciągana przez nich kokaina, bielszych niż coś tam co jest bielsze niż białe. Niestety zaczął zasłuchiwać się w tekstach. Chciał zrozumieć dlaczego inne forumowe murzyny słuchają tych białasów. Usłyszał od nich, że czarna siła - kiła mogiła, że piec ma różne przeznaczenia i że on jako czarny w sercu i częściowo na ciele, jest czarnuchem, nawet nie człowiekiem, małpą. Zrobiło mu się oczywiście przykro. Bardzo przykro. A, że obok wyjawionej tajemnicy był odważny, zaczął szukać jak się wybielić. W sukurs przyszedł mu nieznajomy na targowisku. W Zabrzu, bo niby gdzie? Za 5 zyla kupił płytę Majkela Dżeksona. Teraz słucha, szuka nowej drogi. Starsi, mądrzejsi mówią mu, żeby omijał przedszkola, szkoły podstawowe. Są też tacy, co mówią, żeby zmienił forum, na takie, gdzie się słucha Majkela. Tak mówią mu złe czarnuchy, biegające i gryzące w watahach.

Co zrobi? Co się z nim stanie? Czy będzie murzynem, czy białasem?

Peste Noire, the Covid of BM

For the release of his new album, Le Retour des Pastoureaux, Famine, from Peste Noire, great fear of the conformist Black Metal, answers our questions.



Peste Noire summons different historical and political sources. What is your personal Weltanschauung?

I am in favor of an Apollonian Black Metal, which consists of being beautiful, riding a jet ski while enjoying Bosch, the dances of death and brawling. I have a solar side but also a repressed catholic side.



What do France and the world of today inspire in you?

The ever-increasing infantilization of the French people by the state. The Proudhonian in me fears three things: centralization, collectivism, the annihilation of independence. However, I have the feeling that we are heading towards more and more of these three things, with the pretext-terror of

permanent ecological guilt, health and security blackmail, to transform France into a communist sub-China – minus the power.



How long did you spend in Ukraine, what did you learn from it?

I went there with my car, Borat-style, and stayed there for a year. I learnt there, how to say? The science of contrast. When you arrive from France in Ukraine, the first thing that brings you back to life is the fact that the state is totally distant, not to say absent. Compared to France where the State sucks you to the marrow and flashes your speeding at 31 km/h, it's a mind-blowing air bath. Conversely, the French see themselves as a nation of wankers, but all you have to do

is stay a year in a former Soviet country- I also parked in Moldova, a record shit hole - to understand that we are big names in terms of seriousness at work, perfectionism, organization, respect for our given word, etc.



You had a point to make about Azoz…

I played sports with guys from Azov but never tried to join. Azov provides a huge boxing /MMA room free of charge in which any young person with our ideas can come and train. I went there several times a week when I lived there and from there came the rumor that I had joined this group.

StreetPress then laid a false article about me in which a so-called specialist in the eastern European far right tells that "according to contacts on the spot" (source: trust me dude), I had tried to go to the

front , but that Azov preferred to keep me as a "showman". This is all pure invention. The "on-site

contacts" of this specialist exist in his head only. But I can understand that it was more selling than:

What are your artistic classics, both literary, musical and cinematographic?

Working independently no longer leaves me the time to listen, read or watch much. So my references aren't fresh, but let's get to it. In art, Pieter Brueghel. Literature: Isidore Ducasse. Musical: Mütiilation. Cinema: Old boy, korean version of course.



Speaking of Brueghel, you used one of his paintings, The Beggars (1568) for the cover of the last album. What do these crippled characters who beg on this cover represent for you?

Fascists. It is an album inspired by the French national socialism of the 19th century. I'm more of a Proudhonian but there are so many losers in French nationalism that you have to be a bit of a socialist to want to defend them.



You made the courageous choice to live from your music, but talent is not enough, it's also a constant job, especially since there are many pitfalls on the way…

My life as a hedonist normie ended the day I decided to stop being an employee, to live mainly from my label. In 2011, for the release of L'Ordure À L'Etat Pur, I worked in an office during

the day and did my parcels at night, I slept three to four hours a night. Then for ten years, I managed

everything alone from A and Z, from composition to recordings, from sending packages to accounting. Each package was made and sent by myself. For 2022, I finally decided

to work with someone internally, within my company. What I'm getting at is that when you combine

the work of manager, accountant, handler, secretary with composition, recordings and mixing, you have to split your time in two and get the half a year's sales cover the other half without commercial

activity. I know it's heavy for the customers because the articles are often not easily available but it's a personal choice to be completely independent and not to have to smooth my art because a label above asks me to raise the foot on this or that aspect. I still find it mind-blowing that I'm being criticized for charging higher than average prices since everything is on YouTube for free (our videos cannot be monetized on the false pretext of "incitement to hatred" while the Rap clips are 500 times more heinous), but above all, insofar as one is banned from performing in the majority of countries in addition to being banned from all dematerialized platforms. At some point, you have to sell something and recover the shortfall. When you invest money in a Hollywood clip like

"Le Dernier Putsch" and it gets busted by YouTube when it reaches 1 million

views, it doesn't bother anyone, but the money has to be re-stack. I was also criticized for selling expensive KPN knives when I clearly explained that they were knives ultra-limited products whose

entire sales went to the craftsman, payment being made directly to him. I deliberately did not touch a shekel on these knives, the goal being to support French craftsmanship. But black metalheads are communists. They will never forgive you for succeeding.



Black Metal is a style that likes to remain discreet. But Peste Noire has often hit the headlines and you sometimes have to lend yourself to the game of internet video, communication, etc. How do you deal with being scrutinized?

I saw it okay. I slapped a guy in a bar and got articles that portrayed the story as a Chechen bombing. As for the doxing of the antifas, the soundbox given to them by Google and the guys who pay for their referencing at a forced march is an infernal weapon. In my texts there is a maximum of

5% identity content and everything else deals with the rural world, piss-up, fights, depression, the Middle Ages, burps and farts. But now when you type "Peste Noire band" on the net, you have the impression that I was part of the NSDAP while I spent twenty years only laying quotes saying that we are neither NS , nor suprematists, but ethno-differentialists. “0% racist, 100% identity”, here is the exact content of my words. You are no longer NS up to what you say, you are NS in proportion to your success: the more your group works, the more subsidized cockroaches will scrape the bottoms of drawers to try to prove that you are a Nazi, with the intention to vaporize you like in 1984 – see Alcest, they can deny a thousand times but their will never let them go, hence my choice to not give a

fuck and collaborate with whoever I want. They had ghettoized me long before these collaborations anyway.

The whole antifa investigation consisted of picking up, over 22 years, a demo recorded when I was 16 years old and a private personal photo posted on Facebook with a Nazi helmet in the evening that didn't even belong to me. I hate the policing of individuals, the control of art, leisure, work by the State, my Gothic aesthetic is the antithesis of the neo-classical canons of the Ille Reich, I defend the Commune, I loves Rap: either I'm not a Nazi, or the words no longer have any meaning. My Roman salutes on stage? We greet like that since the origin in Europe and I ask questions. I have never concealed my proximity to the anarchist Spanish Phalanx or early Italian fascism, these movements having no extermination project. But reaching out is also a solar fist, the quintessence of current insubordination. Same logic with the blackface of our penultimate album. Black Metal being the music of blasphemy, anti-racism being the new religion of the West, with its inquisitors and flagellants, it was necessary to blaspheme effectively, not like those anti-Christian Black Metalheads who are three centuries behind in subversion.



You made a thorough incursion in the acoustics with this live in Kiev but Peste Noire is in perpetual evolution and regularly explores other styles. Does it all come naturally or do you force yourself to renew yourself? What are the directionsfuture music?

I see Black Metal as well cut slim jean , it suits me well but it compresses my balls. I hate being limited in my artistic expression. As for future directions, I went for something very popular with the last album, hence the very punk form. The next will be higher, more ascetic, almost religious, with a nobler formal style, close to classical music.
