Consisting of members from Luciferion, Forest Of Impaled and Malevolent Creation this Swedish-Polish-American band is hardly lacking in experience and more than a sum of its part. Led by guitar wizard Wojtek Lisicki (Luciferion, ex-Lost Horizon) Against the Plagues is, musically, a continuation of the direction started on Luciferion's second semi-conceptual album "The Apostate". From the ever fertile soil of France comes this black metal act, which was originally formed under the name Empires de Glace. Death metal is such a limitless genre. You can do whatever you'd like. It can be over the top technical or slow. Brutal or insane and it's all so good. Dutch Satanic death metal band NOX, featuring former/current members of CENTURIAN, PERDITOR, ZI XUL and PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT, has checked in with the following update via their MySpace page:
"It has been decided that Nox and Bob Dussel go different directions. Bob's priorities and the band's are not the same. Both parties are not able to 'make it work' any longer.
This is what Bob had to say about the split: "Bob Dussel has quit Nox. Ridiculous demands meet ridiculous results. I am however satisfied with my decision. In the meanwhile I will continue to better my craft and wish Nox the best of luck. Bob"
The band will continue to work with a new drummer who has the time, focus and
willpower to create new songs. Nox is preparing a second full-length to be recorded (and released?) the end of 2010."
