Widzę coraz częściej wydawcy grzebią w starociach Prophecy to niezłe herbatniki, pierwsze dwie płyty znakomite, pozostałe też doskonałe, jedynie problem z ich dostępnością martwi. Czwarta płyta została chyba wydana jedynie w formie cyfrowej...

Established in 1995, the Teutonic death metal veterans ANASARCA released their debut full-length album, Godmachine, in 1998 through Repulse Records. This album delivers a brutal, melodic, and distinctive death metal experience!
The reissue is officially licensed by Cherry Red Records and enthusiastically supported by ANASARCA, which generously shared many rare photos and flyers, and also contributed two special demo tapes from 1995 and 1996 as exciting bonus tracks for the CD.
All audio has been meticulously restored and remastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio.
Kelley Simms conducted an exclusive, in-depth interview with Michael Dormann (Vocals, Guitars) and wrote the liner notes.
The CD comes in a standard jewel case and includes a 20-page booklet. The 180g vinyl is packaged in a gatefold sleeve with a 4-page 12-inch booklet. The professional cassette with screws features a J-card with six extra panels.
Guitarist/vocalist Michael Dormann says of the reissue of "Godmachine": "The importance for me as the only original founder left is, of course, a huge pleasure to finally have the material on vinyl. In the past, the labels that hold the rights to the songs haven't exactly supported us. For example, I never had one of the double CDs with OUIJA or one of the 'Godmachine' tapes released in the past. We didn't even know about them; we just suddenly found them somewhere. We also get a lot of requests from fans from back then who would like to have the 'Godmachine' back, but it's only available on eBay, Discogs, or at the flea market. So, I'm really looking forward to the re-release and expanding my record collection."
Originally recorded, engineered, mixed, and mastered at Art Temple Studio in Germany from February to March 1998, "Godmachine" was co-produced by the band and Cord Hanken. On its 11 bludgeoning tracks (including the ominous intro of "The Way into the Light"), ANASARCA combines a lethal blend of death metal in the vein of the tried and true American style of veteran bands such as SUFFOCATION and CANNIBAL CORPSE, with the melodic Euro style—especially the Swedish kind—similar to VOMITORY.
On the importance of the "Godmachine" songs: "The songs are still what defines ANASARCA to this day," Dormann says. "I think we have found a totally unique style within death metal. You will always recognize ANASARCA songs because the riffing and the song structures are very unique, despite the blast beats. And this kind of death metal had its beginning on 'Godmachine'."
In 2017, the band re-recorded two tracks from "Godmachine," "Scorn," and "The Weird Ways," that appear as bonus tracks on the band's last full-length album, "Survival Mode." "Some of the 'Godmachine' topics are unfortunately still relevant today," Dormann explains. "'Scorn,' which is about child abuse, or 'The Weird Ways,' which is about people living their lives according to invisible figures, the 'gods'—what nonsense. 'Godmachine' is still an album that I'm very proud of, and many people still tell us that it's their all-time favorite death metal album. And that still feels wonderful after all these years."
